About
I began my software engineering journey after having worked in government healthcare for four years. It had been a slow, arduous ascent, and towards the end of that chapter, I felt exhausted and unfulfilled. By December 2021, I knew it was time for a change, but I wasn’t sure what, exactly. Coincidentally, I’d also been given a book on Python that month, and casual interest quickly evolved into avid intrigue. I started taking JavaScript courses on Codecademy while researching software engineering programs. I quit my job on February 4th, 2022, and on February 22, 2022, I started my first day in General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive.
When I’m not coding, I’m raising my sweet four-year-old, Livvy. Through my experiences, I want her to know that it’s never too late to start over.
